Champion Tirowen Patience Patsy was born in our lounge room with her four siblings. She was born not breathing and we spent ages trying to get her going, till finally she took a little breath. From that rough start she never looked back and still sleeps in the lounge room. We took her to shows and she hated it but she still won heaps. We kept her brother Percy too and the pair of them would often win a fringy each at a show. She has been into schools, to the nursing home, mum's work to visit clients but really prefers to be at home where she is charge of the farm. She is good with the sheep and the horses and even the cats but a rabbit or a fox is fair game. She had a litter of three puppies, all entered today, and raised them in the lounge room and was a great mum, she taught her pup's good manners and how to open the fridge door. She is the gentle lady of the house, gracious to visitors, dignified and polite but will still knock a piece of steak off the bench if you aren't watching. She never gets in trouble for anything. She will run around like a puppy when we go for a walk then finds her favourite spot and sleeps for the rest of the day. She is the matriarch of our kennel and the other dogs all give her complete respect. Patsy is a much loved family member to us all |

Judges BioMy name is Nico Kersten , I'm 40 years old and I live with my partner Stefan Boieck, currently 3 afghan ladies, 2 parrots and around 20 chicken in the north of Germany, close to Hannover.
Dogs accompanied me my whole life, especially the German Shepherds. I inherited the love for German Shepherds from my father and continued his kennel "Vom Stadtwappen" for many years. The kennel was founded in 1968 and we celebrated over the years a lot of success in the shows. Since 3 years I co-breed with my partner the world famous Agha Djari's afghans (founded 1987, with nearly 150 individual champions worldwide, innumerable BIS winners and 17 World Winner titles) A very important mentor for me was always Mr.Erwin Wieser, German Shepherds "Vom Farbenspiel", one of the most successful and influential breeder and judges for this breed worldwide. He sharpened my view for anatomy and move-ment of dogs in general and supports me until today. Mr.Wieser was also the reason that my wish to become a judge became stronger over the years. In 20111 started with the White Shepherds , and until today I'm allowed to judge more than 20 breeds from FCI-Groups 1/ 2/ 5/ 10 Through the afghans from my partner I became attracted to the sighthounds in general and fell in love with the gentle giants, the Irish Wolfhounds. I'm able to judge them since 2 years and really look forward to seeing them in Australia. |
